Maria Scrivan is a syndicated cartoonist, illustrator and author. Her comic, Half Full, is syndicated by Tribune Content Agency and appears daily on GoComics and in newspapers across the US including the LA Times. Her work is published in MAD Magazine, National Lampoon, American Bystander, Parade Magazine, Prospect Magazine (UK), Macmillan Books, Funny Times, Mashable.com, HuffingtonPost.com and Salon.com.
She also licenses her work for greeting cards to companies including Recycled Paper Greetings, NobleWorks, RSVP, Design Design, Designer Greetings and more. She is a member of the National Cartoonists Society,the Society of Illustrators and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

Where do you get your ideas?
I really have no idea where they come from but when they show up, I write them down. Inspiration is everywhere.
What kind of pen do you use?
Some of my favorites are: Dip Pens and India Ink, Pilot Falcon Fountain Pens and the Apple Pencil using Procreate on the iPad Pro.
