Another amazing Reuben Awards has come and gone. This year it was in Pittsburgh, PA.
Around the city, I was able to visit the Andy Warhol museum, the Carnegie Musuem of Art and Natural History [which had an amazing collection] and walk to shops and restaurants near the hotel. The Toonseum did an amazing job of putting together a collection of art from past Reuben award winners with originals from Bill Waterson, Charles Schultz, Gary Larson, Gary Trudeau, Jim Davis and many more. I happily found some fellow cartoonist runners who were willing to brave the chilly morning and have a fun run around the city, over the bridges and along the water. Jason Chatfield did an amazing job as MC for the awards event ahd the Roaring 20's party was a blast. We all fit in perfectly in the newly renovated Speakeasy bar which looked just like something out of the 20's. And now some pics!
