I was super excited to do a guest spot on a Jumble puzzle. The assignment was to come up with a punny gag that had a certain amount of letters in the answer. I made a feeble attempt at mixing up the clues myself but decided to leave that part to David L. Hoyt and Jeff Knurek who do it best.
I was recently asked by an illustration student at the Savannah College of Art and Design to answer a series of interview questions she's doing for a presentation about influences. I realized after answering the questions that I've learned a few things since graduating as an art student myself. I'm posting the answers here to help other illustrators/cartoonists who are starting out:
Okay, my life might be complete now. We went to LA and watched a Simpsons table read which is a read through of the script with the full cast in front of a small audience. It was one of the coolest things I have seen to watch people transform into the characters right in front of me.
